Our Director, Mike Tonkin was joined by structural engineer, Mervyn Rodrigues and our client, Dennis Pedersen to discuss our award winning Water Tower project.

The Water Tower, standing tall with nowhere to hide, the structure is both brave and frugal, a gentle giant. The conversion of a disused 1950s water tower into a private home is a fantastic example of adaptation and reuse. Shortlisted for the 2021 RIBA House of the Year, it won an RIBA National and RIBA East Award, as well as the prestigious Stephen Lawrence Prize.

The RIBA described the Water Tower as "an ingenious eco-build that accommodates its natural setting, utilising its roof terrace and room placements to overlook and appreciate the surrounding Norfolk countryside."
